Dialogues on The Refugee Crisis (Refugees in America) - 7 Tuesdays

January 8, 2019

 January 8, 2019; 7 consecutive Tuesdays

It's a tough topic, both at a local community level and from a national policy perspective. To bring perspective and meaningful conversations around this topic, The Dialogues On: The Refugees Crisis Learner Book offers eight unique perspectives by experienced authors from renowned organizations such as World Relief and Church World Service. They provide valuable insight into refugee stories and experiences.

We will meet on Tuesdays for 7 weeks starting January 8. Each week we will read some background material, an applicable Bible verse and will view a short video. Then we will have time for discussion in a small group, guided by our Lutheran faith.  The purpose of this meeting is both to educate us about this topic and to foster a dialogue among FPLC members. We hope to create a safe space for learning, listening and sharing thoughts and ideas.

A related volunteer group service opportunity will be offered at the end of the 7-week study.
