In 2004, Pastor Bill and Jo Ann Berdelman traveled with our Synod to the Diocese of Meru in Tanzania. They were inspired by the people, always full of faith in spite of their hardships.
Since then we’ve sent delegations of teens and adults to our partner parishes in Usa River and Ngarenanyuki to provided much-needed health care, meet the women who benefit from Mama Mariki’s goat project and care for babies at the orphanage.
The gifts of our congregtaion have also
built preschools for little kids and a tailoring classroom for adults to learn a trade, provided scholarships for hundreds of teens and college students, provided water and food during severe droughts, and by purchasing Mt. Meru coffee through church, you help sustain more than 2,000 farmers.
So far, your gifts from pennies to hundreds total more than $350,000!
