Sunday School FAQ's
Your children are welcome to join us in Sunday school as often as you’d like as you and they learn more about our church.
Our parents do! Our program is strong and healthy because it is a parent cooperative. We ask each family to teach to 4 weeks yearly. We set up the classroom for you and provide the curriculum. All we need is your energy and enthusiasm. No experience needed! Our parents tell us it’s easy, and they have enjoyed being with their kids and learning as well.
Yes, children sit with their families in worship until after the Junior Sermon, when they are then released to go to Sunday school. This is usually about 15 minutes into the service.
Sunday school begins after the Junior Sermon (about 15 minutes into the service) and concludes at the end of the worship service.
Yes. The curriculum is the same at both services, so your children can attend at either 9:00 or 10:30. However, some consistency is nice because the children often develop close friendships with the classmates at their particular service.
We understand that families have a lot of demands on their time. We are happy to see you whenever you can join us.
Our curriculum is generally written to stand alone each Sunday. Your child won’t feel lost if their attendance is erratic.
Our children receive instruction in Communion and receive their First Communion in 5th grade. If your child has already received Communion at another church, they can take Communion with us. We generally offer Communion on two Sundays each month.
